When the bosses die in the Mac version, you only hear them thud to the ground but no death phrase. When the enemies die, they make only one screaming sound where in the DOS version they had multiple death sounds. All the enemies say are Halt or Halten Sie and the bosses all say Guten Tag where in the DOS version all the enemies had their own phrase. In General Fettgesicht's stage, Hans Grosse and the Death Knight are both the boss which gives them the unfair advantage. There are also more levels in the Macintosh version: The levels from the console ports and the levels from the DOS version, however, some of the DOS levels have been slightly modified and Otto Giftmacher, Gretel Grosse and General Fettgesicht are replaced with Hans Grosse, Death Knight and Ubermutant. The graphics are much better, especially in the huge bosses, the game features a useful automap, there is a rocket launcher, and resolutions greater than 320x200 are supported. The Macintosh port, like the 3DO port, of Wolfenstein 3D has several improvements from the original DOS version. who must escape from the dreaded Castle Wolfenstein by blasting your way through several levels of Nazis.
